Lee Ritenour is an American jazz guitarist of the highest order, a Grammy Award winner, and one of the founding members of the super jazz fusion band Fourplay. He is an alumnus of the year at the University of Southern California and an honorary member of the L.A. Jazz Society, having also received the Echo Jazz Award. Throughout his musical career, Lee Ritenour has recorded 50 albums. ‘Six String Theory’ was named ‘Album of the Year’ by Jazziz magazine and inspired the creation of the non-profit Six String Theory competition, which seeks to discover young musicians from around the world. Lee Ritenour has collaborated on numerous legendary works with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Pink Floyd, Aretha Franklin, and Carole King. His band Fourplay achieved platinum sales with its debut album and remained at the top of the Billboard jazz chart for 33 weeks.
Dave Grusin is an American crossover pianist, arranger, and composer/producer for film and television. A 10-time Grammy Award winner and 38-time nominee, he has also won 1 Oscar and been nominated 7 times. His score for the film ‘The Milagro Beanfield War’, directed by Robert Redford, won the Oscar for Best Original Score. The score for ‘On Golden Pond’, starring Katharine Hepburn, Jane Fonda, and Henry Fonda, was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Original Score and included in the American Film Institute’s list of ‘Top 25 American Film Scores’. Among his other classic film scores are ‘The Firm’ starring Tom Cruise and the comedy ‘Tootsie’ starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. Dave Grusin is also the co-founder of the legendary jazz label GRP Records. In addition to Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin has collaborated with other musical legends such as Quincy Jones, Gerry Mulligan, Patti Austin, Sarah Vaughan, Bill Withers, Peggy Lee, and Billy Joel.
