The theme of the 2024 Taiwan Design Exhibition is ‘It’s Tainan

‘ It not only focuses on the city’s long historical heritage
On the 400th anniversary of Tainan, it makes people once again focus on the starting point of Taiwan, which is Tainan
Then we can see Tainan’s urban characteristics of inclusiveness, wisdom, resilience and sustainability, as well as its multi-dimensional value beliefs
Design is introduced into urban governance to link the rooted forces across generations, industries, fields and cultures, looking back at the past and looking forward to the future! The static main visual of the exhibition is designed by the local team ‘Path & Landforms’, Yuan Wensheng and his team
Using the classic image of Tainan’s arched city gates and corridors, the concept of ‘passing through’ is created
The city gate seems to be the entrance to the time corridor, closely connecting the past and the future
Walking in it is like embarking on a journey through time and space
In addition, the team cleverly uses the visual color scheme to bring out Tainan’s dual charm
The warm color series represents landforms, historical sites, folk customs and beliefs; the cold color series represents economic and trade waterways and green energy technologies
The countless colorful color blocks adjacent in the picture are brick walls with historical memories and also represent the shining industries in Tainan
Through the reorganization of colors and structures, the stacked bricks are transformed into beams of light passing through time and space, leading us through the long river of history and witnessing the development of the city
The dynamic main visual is designed by Zheng Kaiwen of ‘Nulls Design’
By extending the concept of the main visual, it presents that Tainan is a city born along the water
From the waterway gradually extending to the land, after hundreds of years of development, Tainan is not only an ancient capital with profound cultural heritage, but also a modern city with shining industries
It has many excellent industries and world-renowned brands
Tainan has turned over the bricks of history through design and innovation

We are moving towards the future, a more shining era! The ‘2024 Taiwan Design Exhibition’ takes the No
2 museum of Tainan Art Museum, West Market and Banana Warehouse as the main exhibition areas, connects the surrounding cultural and artistic spaces and characteristic business districts
There are also diverse design response activities throughout the city
It will be grandly held in Tainan from October 26
The exhibition period is 16 days
Welcome everyone to experience the design power of the cultural capital
Opening hours are from October 26 to November 10
