The Nanpu Bridge is a river-crossing passage in Shanghai, China, connecting Huangpu District and Pudong New Area. It spans the Huangpu River and is one of the components of the Shanghai Inner Ring Expressway. Initially constructed in 1988, the bridge was completed on November 19, 1991, and opened for traffic on December 1, 1991. The bridge starts from the Luban Road Interchange in the west, crosses the Huangpu River, and extends to the Zhangjiang Interchange in the south. The main bridge has a total length of 836 meters, with a dual six-lane urban expressway on the bridge deck, designed for a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The total cost of the project was 820 million yuan. The bridge is open all year round, with full-day access.
