Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is adjacent to Sun Moon Lake and covers an area of about 62 hectares. It is a diverse theme park suitable for tourists of all ages. Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village creates a multi-themed park of aboriginal culture. In addition to cultural performances and interesting experience activities of aboriginal ethnic groups in the park, there are also exciting and fun amusement facilities! The ethnic minority culture area is mainly for watching performances, tribal landscapes and participating in DIY experience activities. There are tribal buildings built 1:1 imitating the real houses of various ethnic groups. The song and dance performances showing the primitive and rough charm of ethnic minorities. Tourists can also personally experience traditional activities such as archery, blowpipe shooting, pounding mochi, weaving, and pottery making to appreciate the primitive style. In 2001, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village opened Taiwan’s first ‘aerial cable car’ for tourism and recreation, connecting Yidashao of Sun Moon Lake and Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. The total length is about 1.9 kilometers. From the cable car, you can see the five-star lake and mountain scenery of Sun Moon Lake, enjoy the breeze and bathe in the sun, and spend unforgettable moments with family and friends. It takes you 7 minutes to see the beauty of Sun Moon Lake. It is a must-see itinerary when coming to Nantou!
