The Daban Root Forest is located in Chajiao Village, Sanxia Town. Taking Sanxia as the base point, it is connected with tourist attractions such as Shimen, Daxi, and Cihu. It is the only rainforest buttress root area in northern Taiwan. The park covers an area of 20 hectares with a tropical rainforest landscape. The green mountains and forests soaring into the clouds are breathtaking. The rich forest resources have unique taste and value. There are various buttress root plants in the meantime, such as Ficus variegata var. garciae, Ficus irisana, Ficus nervosa, and Phoebe formosana. Under the thick shade of trees, there are also rapidly growing vines that cling to tree trunks for survival, making people marvel at the mystery of nature.
