Beitou Library is located in the lush Beitou Park. The building is mainly made of wood and blends in with the surrounding park woods, just like a large tree house located deep in the forest, full of romantic atmosphere. The library has three floors in total. The first floor is the reading hall, equipped with a comprehensive service desk, periodical and newspaper area, reference materials area, computer inquiry area, etc. The second floor is the book area. Chinese and foreign language books are neatly displayed on wooden low cabinet bookshelves. There are intimate reading chairs between the bookshelves, and next to them are desks. There are table lamps and sockets on the desks. The library uses floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, providing excellent lighting. If the weather is fine and sunny, go to the outdoor reading area on the balcony of each floor. Accompanied by the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, it is closer to nature. The basement floor is the children’s reading room. Parents can bring their children here to spend a pleasant weekend afternoon. The area outside the library is very suitable for tourists to take pictures. In the movie ‘Turn Left, Turn Right’, the scene where the hero and heroine meet for the first time is filmed at the fountain in front of the library. Taking pictures inside the library requires prior application and also providing personal documents and photos. The procedures are not troublesome, but after the application is successful, people or selfies cannot appear in the taken photos. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Mondays and Sundays throughout the year; open from 08:30 to 21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year. Must-see tips: 1.
