The female power of TRiDENT, Bray me and MakeMake is assembled. They gather in Taipei to ignite a rock night. The super popular Japanese female rock bands TRiDENT and Bray me will come to Taiwan for the first time in October. Joining hands with the Taiwanese metal band MakeMake, they will bring a cross-border joint performance of “Phoenix Rising In TAIPEI” at Nuzone in Taipei. Japanese punk rock trident – TRiDENT. The three-woman band TRiDENT from Osaka is composed of lead singer and guitarist ASKA, bassist SERINA and drummer NAGISA. With their highly infectious musical style and explosive live performances, they have rapidly risen in the Japanese music scene. TRiDENT’s music combines pop punk, hard rock and heavy metal elements. After member changes, they started anew with a new lineup in 2020. Their popularity has been continuously rising. They have been invited to major music festivals in Japan. In February this year, the final stop of their tour was held at the thousand-person venue Zepp Shinjuku. On music platforms, the total number of views of their MVs has exceeded 17 million. This year’s cooperation with the game giant Ubisoft on the Japanese version theme song “Bite the bullet” of its classic shooting game “Rainbow Six: Siege” has also aroused topics. TRiDENT will release its second album “DUX” in November this year and hold its first national tour “TRiDENT DUX TOUR 24-25”, continuously advancing at a steady pace. Japanese pop rock band – Bray me. Bray me from Shizuoka Prefecture is composed of lead singer and guitarist KOTANI and drummer ARISA as the core. Guitarist ITOANRI and bassist SAKKO joined in 2018 and 2019 respectively, establishing the current band lineup. Bray me sings moving chapters with its sincere and moving singing, lively and noisy rock melodies, and inspiring and resonant lyrics. Their musical inspiration comes from lead singer KOTANI’s profound reflections on “love” and “tenderness” in life, and through music creation, it is transformed into powerful works one after another. In the past 12 years since its formation, Bray me has continuously established a new model of contemporary female rock with a straightforward and uncompromising extensive musical style in the highly competitive music scene. In 2022, Bray me completed its first individual special concert at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO and established its own record label “NottDagr”. So far, it has released 16 EP singles and 5 mini albums. In January this year, it released its first full album “DUH”.
MakeMake, the Taiwanese female metal planet – MakeMake comes from Taiwan. The members are from all over northern, central, and southern Taiwan. It is composed of lead singer Ruby, guitarist Leevia, and bassist Philis. They are good at combining avant-garde metalcore with an electronic synthetic atmosphere and showing strong musical explosiveness with the lead singer’s extremely powerful roaring vocals. MakeMake, formed in 2018, has quickly created a whirlwind in the Taiwanese metal music scene since its debut. They have attended major music festivals and performed in major live houses in northern, central, and southern Taiwan. In 2023, they participated in “SHOCKWAVE: SUMMER BLAST” and toured Hong Kong and China with the visual kei deathcore band DEXCORE and the Australian new metalcore band “Alpha Wolf”. “Phoenix Rising In TAIPEI” brings together powerful musical energy from Japan and Taiwan. It is not only a musical collision of three outstanding bands but also a passionate confrontation of Taiwanese and Japanese female rock. It is definitely not to be missed. TRiDENT and Bray me, who are visiting Taiwan for the first time, are also looking forward to this performance.
