Haihua Island Exotic Botanical Garden

Haihua Island Exotic Botanical Garden is located in the ‘Three Style Blocks’ of Haihua Island No.1, covering an area of approximately 74,000 square meters. It integrates rare plant appreciation, flower exhibitions, themed activities, and scientific education. The garden is divided into ‘five areas and one hall’, which are the main entrance area, the flower field and sea area, the shade plant area, the rockery and waterfall area, the exotic flowers and fruits area, and the plant curios hall, among which the main entrance area is equipped with themed catering and souvenir shops. The botanical garden currently has more than 200 types of plants, including more than 40 exotic and distinctive plants, such as the Maitreya Buddha tree, rubber banyan, tree pineapple, elephant leg tree, etc., gathering global tropical exotic plants. Walking through the garden, every step presents a new scene and a new light.

The vertical greening of the main entrance area of the botanical garden is mainly composed of duckfoot wood, asparagus fern, golden false jasmine, kidney fern, and golden banyan, symbolizing welcome and smooth sailing.

The flower field and sea area is mainly divided into terraced flower sea and large flower sea, currently planted with many cosmos flowers. The flower sea landscape includes colorful grass, red grass, wolf tail grass, and pink smoke millet; distinctive flowers and plants include perfumed acacia, yellow sophora, pink flower mountain flat bean, yellow hibiscus, fiddle leaf coral, cockscomb coral tree, and frangipani.

The exotic flowers and fruits area features a mushroom paradise with mushroom sculptures where children can participate in adventure decoding, puzzle interactive, and parent-child themed activities; the vegetation includes earth aloeswood, ‘Maitreya Buddha tree’, iron watermelon, tree houses, plank roads, fruit gathering fig, dragon boat flower, fire flower, thousand layer banana, and elephant leg wood.

The rockery and waterfall area is a specially created place for cooling and resting in the botanical garden. There is a pavilion at the top of the mountain, which is the highest point of the botanical garden. Resting here, the breeze brings the faint fragrance of the flower sea, and the beautiful scenery of the garden can be seen at a glance.
The garden is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00. The plant curios hall in the scenic area is temporarily closed.
