Qixingling is located in the northeast of Puqian Town, Wenchang. It faces the sea to the north and has an altitude of 117.4 meters. There are more than ten peaks in total, among which seven peaks are exceptionally high, resembling the ‘stars of the Qixi Festival’. It faces the Leizhou Peninsula across the sea. The scenic area of Qixingling is beautiful and charming. The seven peaks are like stars, and the flat lake is like the moon. The scenery is unique and beautiful. Since ancient times, it has been known as seven stars accompanying the moon. More than 1,000 meters to the south of Qixingling is a mountain range, commonly known as Daling. This ridge has only one peak. Its peak is on the same level as the main peak of Qixingling. On the top of the ridge, there are more than 100 meters of winding remnants of Japanese trenches and sentry posts. To the west of Daling, there are continuous undulating rocks and unique landscapes. On the ridge stands the Doubing Tower majestically. It was built in the fifth year of Tianqi in the Ming Dynasty (1625) and renovated in the thirteenth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1874). The Doubing Tower is octagonal, with seven floors and is more than 30 meters high. Along the spiral staircase inside the tower, you can reach the top floor. Looking down at the Qiongzhou Strait, you can see the scenery near and far. Suddenly, you will feel the vastness of the sky and the earth, and be relaxed and happy. At the middle of one peak in the mountain area, there is a spring. The spring water flows continuously without stopping. The water quality is sweet. Buddhist and Taoist people have always regarded it as holy water. At the foot of the peak, there is a temple named ‘The Temple of Saintess Qixing’. The shape is simple and unique. About 200 meters to the east at the foot of the main peak is a freshwater lake, commonly known as ‘Dinosaur Pond’. It covers an area of about 50 mu and is shaped like a full moon and extremely deep. Tip: The mountain winding road leads to each peak, and cars can spiral up to the top of the mountain. The specific business status and opening hours are subject to the opening situation on that day.
