Shell Beach is located on the northeastern coast to the northern coast of Weizhou Island. The beach boasts clear seawater, white and soft sand, and an abundance of shells, making it an ideal place for strolling and shell collecting.
Shell Beach is quite extensive with few tourists, thus preserving its pristine natural scenery and attracting many visitors who prefer tranquility. Starting from the sunrise coast on the east side of Weizhou Island, heading north, and then to the Blue Bridge in the northwestern part of the island (which is the Sinopec crude oil terminal), this nearly six-kilometer-long stretch of beach is all part of Shell Beach.
The beach features several sections with high-quality sand and good views, including the beach near Su Niu Jiao Keng Village at the northeast end, the beach in the area of Gou Men Village in the east, and the beach around Niu Lan Mountain, among others. The eastern part of Shell Beach is a great spot to watch the sunrise, while the Blue Bridge area in the northwest is suitable for sunset viewing. The beach is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
