Liujingtan is located at the easternmost part of the Sikao main island, facing the vast East China Sea with its rocky cliffs, making it an ideal spot for enjoying sea views and watching the sunrise. Along the coast, there is a well-maintained wooden boardwalk that allows you to stroll and appreciate the varying shades of blue in the ocean. The white lighthouse on the cliffs fulfills all your imaginations about island charm.

Upon entering the scenic area, you will first encounter an asphalt road, which you can walk along to enjoy the sea views. It takes about 20 minutes to walk and play along the way. If you feel tired, you can opt to take an electric cart for a few yuan to reach near the starting point of the boardwalk. The boardwalk is not difficult to walk, and it feels pleasant to enjoy the breeze and take photos along the way.
You can also follow the boardwalk all the way down to the cliffs near the sea, which is relatively more tiring. There is little vegetation along the boardwalk, especially the coastal sections, which can be quite sunny on clear days, so be sure to take protective measures. Liujingtan and Heshangtao are included in a joint ticket, and there is a free shuttle bus between the two scenic areas, so they are usually visited together. If you want to watch the sunrise, you usually need to arrive at the scenic area around four in the morning when it is still dark, and you should bring a flashlight.
