Sangnong Farm was established in 2011. It is located in the canyon area between the Miaoxi Town of Huzhou near the direction of Moganshan and the remaining veins of Tianmu Mountain. It is the place where Lu Yu wrote ‘The Classic of Tea’. From south to north, the farm is distributed with various planting and breeding blocks such as vegetable fields, fish ponds, enclosures for chickens, ducks and geese, sheep pastures and fields, providing the source of food for staff and visiting customers throughout the year. The farm is rich in vegetation. On the 400-acre land, there are tree species such as metasequoia, pond cypress, trident maple, hackberry, locust tree, Ligustrum japonicum ‘Howardii’, American callery pear, and Ilex cornuta ‘Fortunei’, forming various landscape forms such as woods, avenues, country roads, streams, pond cypress lakes, grasslands and grassy slopes. There are also flowers and plants such as small daisies, clematis, Verbena bonariensis and roses. Thanks to the excellent vegetation coverage, the farm can attract all kinds of wild animals in every season, such as wild rabbits, crayfish, eels, catfish, tree frogs, and a wide variety of birds, including pheasants, mallards, black-headed gulls, magpies, egrets, thrushes, etc. Their traces can be found at any time when walking in the woods. There are also rich outdoor sports. There are more than 5 kilometers of various terrain sections in the farm, which are very suitable for mountain biking, hiking, jogging and other sports. In the central area of the farm, there is a seven-a-side real turf football field of 32×50 meters, surrounded by woods. There is professional lighting at night. There are two lakes of different forms, which can provide people with water sports such as comfortable kayaking and paddle boarding. Of course, you can also try your luck in fishing.
