Known as the ‘First Tulip Sea of China,’ the Dutch Flower Sea is located in the northern part of Dafeng City, in the central area of Xinfeng Town, 30 minutes away from Yancheng Airport, and 10 minutes away from Dafeng City. In 1919, Zhang Jian invited Dutch water conservancy experts with rich experience and advanced technology in land reclamation from the sea to plan agricultural water conservancy projects in Xinfeng, establishing a four-level drainage system of district, square, row, and strip. Based on the original terrain of the Dutch Flower Sea, without altering the original landforms, it was refurbished with ‘pastoral, river network, wooden architecture, windmills, and flower sea’ as the design elements, featuring the famous Dutch flower, tulips, to create a flower sea with Dutch characteristics, integrating sightseeing, entertainment, dining, and planting, making it a beautiful cultural tourism card for Xinfeng.
The Dutch Flower Sea adds a strong exotic atmosphere to the ‘Hometown of Milu Deer,’ and upon arrival, one is fully immersed in the ocean of flowers, even breathing becomes refreshing. Accompanied by several tall windmills, swaying by the streams with the wind, and large areas of tulip flowers swaying in the breeze, red, purple, yellow, and white, like lively sprites, tourists stroll in the ocean of flowers, children chase and play in the flower sea, the exotic atmosphere comes face to face, forming a three-dimensional light and shadow picture with a strong sense of depth. ‘Only Love · Drama Fantasy City’ is the second directorial work of Wang Chaoge’s ‘Only’ series of drama fantasy cities, following the ‘Impression’ series of live performances and the ‘Again’ series of situational experience plays. ‘Only Love · Drama Fantasy City’ consists of six major theaters: ‘Ruyue,’ ‘Ruxin,’ ‘Ruhua,’ ‘Ruge,’ ‘Rugu,’ and ‘Ruyi,’ with stage design spanning a hundred years from the Republic of China to the contemporary era, themed on love and rooted in flowers, ‘love born from flowers’ has led to the birth of the drama fantasy city architectural complex. The performance features more than 50 plays, created from the overall concept of ‘drama+,’ integrating the indispensable love in the world with the flower sea ingeniously, taking drama as the main body, breaking through the physical boundaries of space and time to a greater extent, emphasizing the spiritual world experience brought by the work.
