Tuanjiu Scenic Area

For a small city, having a free lake area like Tuanjiu is a great blessing, and it is often proudly compared to West Lake for its scenery. The main tourist areas of Tuanjiu are concentrated on the east and south shores. There are parks with small bridges and flowing water by the lake, and green belts have been established. Strolling along the lake, couples sit by the lake whispering softly, embodying the life of a small town.

On the east shore of Tuanjiu, from north to south, there are the Tuanbin Square, Tuanbin Park, and the Wu Shi Nanmu Hall. Tuanbin Square is often filled with children ice-skating. Almost every local who lives in the city will go to Tuanbin Park for a walk, especially on summer nights, enjoying the lake breeze and the cool air, which is very pleasant. The Wu Shi Nanmu Hall is a valuable historical site in the Tuanjiu Scenic Area, built during the Ming Dynasty, with four existing sections, originally in the old city, and moved to its current location in the 1990s.

On the south shore, Yiyuan is a modern ancient-style garden, with pavilions, towers, and rockeries scattered in an orderly manner. The Yunxilou, which extends into Tuanjiu Lake on the west side, is the iconic building of Yiyuan. In spring, you can fly kites on the large lawn in Yiyuan, and in summer, you can enjoy the lotus flowers. There is also a small maze in the garden for fun. 400 meters to the east of the Tuanjiu Scenic Area is a very lively street in Yixing, with many restaurants around it, and a local food street near the Jinxiu Market near the street. Jiefang Road, connected to Tuanbin Park, also has many restaurants and is a place for tea, with the Bauhinia Tea House and Yangxian Renjia near Jiefang Square, both of which are elegant in environment and have a good reputation, and they also provide meals. In the evening, you can go to the tea house to slowly savor a pot of Yangxian tea in a purple sand teapot, have dinner, and then stroll to the lake to see the beautiful night view of Tuanjiu. The leisure of the small town is fully embodied here. The entire text is open all year round from 06:00 to 17:00.
