Qianbu Dada Sha is more spacious than the Baibu Sha to its south, and the sand quality is finer, making it an ideal place for beach strolling and sea gazing. Many tourists choose to visit after touring the mountains and worshipping Buddha, walking barefoot on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the tide, and strolling along the shore, where the fatigue of the day dissipates.
At the northern end of the beach, there is a giant rock that emerges when the tide recedes, inscribed with the word ‘Listening to the Tide’. Above this, there are stone steps leading to Wanghai Pavilion. From the pavilion, one can overlook the boundless sea with an extremely open view. Additionally, from Qianbu Dada Sha, one can also gaze at the reclining Buddha, Mount Luojia, in the sea.
If you wish to witness the sunrise over the sea, it is recommended to stay at a hotel near Qianbu Dada Sha, check the sunrise time, and rise early to walk to the beach to await the sunrise. Chaoyang Cave, at the junction of Baibu Sha and Qianbu Dada Sha, is a great spot to view the sunrise on Mount Putuo.
Walking on Qianbu Dada Sha at night, admiring the moon and the night scene of Mount Putuo, is quite a poetic experience. The beach is flat and wide, with very soft and clean sand. Although the swimming facilities are not as complete as those at Baibu Sha, many tourists still come here to swim in the summer. Staying at a hotel near Qianbu Dada Sha is also a good choice for swimming, as you can simply walk to the beach in slippers to play in the water and then return to the hotel to shower and change.
Additionally, at night, there are many small crabs on the beach, attracting many tourists to playfully catch them with flashlights, which is quite interesting. The beach is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
