Lianhua Island Sculpture Park, also known as Lianhua Island Arhat Hall, was designed and funded by Professor Zhu Renmin, the Dean of the Pan Tianshou Environmental Art Research Institute in China. A causeway connects Lianhua Island in the sea with the main island, adorned with over two hundred arhats, each displaying a unique expression.
Pu Tuo Buddha Tea House is also located here. Within the park, there is a square commemorating the Japanese monk Huii and the Lianhua Ocean People’s Memorial Hall, with 500 arhats surrounding the statue of Guanyin, creating a spectacular and lifelike scene that echoes with the South Sea Guanyin of Mount Putuo.
Lianhua Island Sculpture Park is situated on the banks of Lianhua Ocean in Donggang, Putuo District, and is at the center of the tourism golden triangle, which includes the scenic spots of Mount Putuo, Zhujiajian, and Peach Blossom Island. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific business hours subject to daily conditions.
