Yongshan White Sparrow Temple is located at the summit of Yongshan Mountain, traditionally believed to have been established by the renowned monk Zhi Zhe Master during the Six Dynasties period. The White Sparrow Pavilion at Yongshan White Sparrow Temple is adorned with a couplet that reads: ‘The Buddhist site flourished in the Qi and Liang dynasties, relying on future generations to seek the old traces.’
Yongshan White Sparrow Temple has surpassed a millennium, and the vicissitudes of this ancient temple over a thousand years are evocative of reflection.
