Aurora Museum

The Aurora Museum is a cultural undertaking回馈社会 by Chairman Chen Yongtai, founder of the Aurora Group. The Aurora Museum is located on the banks of the Huangpu River in the Lujiazui financial district of Shanghai and officially opened in October 2013. The museum area has a total of six floors and an area of 6,316 square meters. The Aurora Museum integrates collection, research, exhibition, operation and dissemination. Adhering to the concept of ‘protection, inheritance and dedication’ of Chinese culture, it also cooperates with the School of Archaeology and Museology of Peking University to promote the study of ancient artifacts. The museum’s collections are mainly Buddhist statues, jade wares, pottery, blue and white porcelain and stone reliefs. A special research center for ancient artifacts is set up to analyze and study cultural relics from the perspective of ancient artifactology, revealing the rich connotations of historical cultural relics to the audience from multiple angles and aspects.
