It was introduced at the meeting that this year’s theme of ‘China Tourism Day’ is ‘Beautiful China, Happy Journey’. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province will jointly host the main venue activities in Tengchong City, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province on May 19. The Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism introduced that May 19, 2023 is the 13th ‘China Tourism Day’. Setting the main venue activities in Tengchong is an important measure for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to implement the spirit of the 20th National Party Congress. It is also a specific measure to resolutely implement the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection in Tengchong in 2020 that ‘on the basis of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, vigorously promote rural revitalization and make happy places even happier’.
