Dahui Ridge Red Maple Ancient Path

Every late autumn, when everything is bleak, the mountains in Wencheng are adorned with red maples and become full of vitality. The ancient path and red maples complement each other. Frosty leaves and autumn catkins are fluttering. There is a touch of romance in the vicissitudes and a bit of loneliness in the enthusiasm. Tourists flock here just to experience a rain of maple leaves and feel the artistic conception of’redder than flowers in February’. Most of the red maple ancient paths in Wencheng were built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. After years of washing and continuous restoration, they are spread across large towns and small villages. There are still more than 60 relatively well-preserved ancient paths. Among them, the Dahui Ridge, Daoling, Songlong Ridge, Yan’an Ridge, Maolilei Ridge, Longchuan Fifty-two Ridge and other red maple ancient paths around the county seat are all listed as provincial-level protected units. Open all year round and open all day.
