Gesheng Pottery Manor was founded in 1996 by Mr. Ge Tao, a renowned purple sand arts and crafts artist from a renowned pottery family in Yixing. In 2016, a new location was selected for construction. The pottery manor is located at No. 183 Taodu Road, Yixing City. It is located at the foot of Longbei Mountain. It is an antique three-entry courtyard-style Jiangnan residential building with white walls and black tiles, staggered front and back, and built against the mountain. With a construction area of 7,000 square meters, it houses the intangible cultural heritage museum of purple sand ancient dragon kiln, the Huanglongshan purple sand raw ore museum, the purple sand calligraphy and painting academy, the purple sand popular science classroom, the purple sand pottery classroom (400 square meters), the purple sand meditation academy, Shangzi Academy, the former residence of Master Jingzhou, the century-old Gedhe Pottery Store, Longtan Mountain House (tea art space), homestay and catering, etc. It is a one-stop popular science education base for experiencing purple sand art and culture, integrating culture, tourism, life, education, and art.
