Guihua Village is located in Tongxiang City, Shimen Town, Tongxing Village, named after the golden osmanthus trees that are abundantly planted there. It is a new tourist attraction in Shimen Town following the former residence of Feng Zikai, Yuanyuan Hall, and the ancient Fuyan Temple.
Guihua Village is famous for its osmanthus trees, with over 10,000 large and small trees, including more than ten trees that are over a hundred years old, and the oldest ‘Osmanthus King’ has reached 170 years of age. During the season when the osmanthus blooms, Guihua Village is filled with the fragrance of thousands of trees, and the scent can be detected from miles away from the scenic area, creating a unique landscape.
The main scenic area of Guihua Village is surrounded by water on three sides, with clusters of bamboo and large trees such as camphor and ginkgo along the river. This place has a perpetual spring-like climate and is surrounded by clear waters, making it a famous ecological rural attraction in Northern Zhejiang, known as ‘Little Guilin’.
