The building is five stories high, and the walls are built with red bricks. The Haikou Bell Tower stands on Changdi Road, facing the estuary. The row of old buildings opposite the Haikou Bell Tower is the famous Haikou Qilou Old Street. Today’s Haikou Bell Tower was rebuilt in 1987 according to the original appearance of the old bell tower and named ‘New Sound of Ancient Bell’. The bell tower is a symbol of Haikou and has witnessed the growth process of this city.
