Huatang Ancient Village, situated adjacent to the former residence of Wang Xizhi, is located at the foot of Wo Ni Mountain in Jintian Town. The village was initially settled by Wang Hongji, the 26th descendant of the great Eastern Jin calligrapher Wang Xizhi, who led his clan to reside here. It has experienced over eight hundred years of evolution and development.
A large number of ancient architectural complexes from the Ming and Qing dynasties still exist within the village, featuring temples, hermitages, ancestral halls, residences, archways, bridges, watchtowers, ponds, wells, and water channels. Some of the more renowned structures include the Wang family’s residence, Yiqing Hall, Shanqing Hall, and Ningyuan Hall.
