Jiading Museum was established in 1959. It is a local museum integrating functions such as collection, protection, research, display and education. It now administers the Jiading Confucian Temple, a national key cultural relics protection unit, and the Fahua Pagoda, a cultural relics protection unit in Shanghai. The basic exhibitions include ‘Jiading History Exhibition’, ‘Exhibition of Collected Cultural Relics’, ‘Imperial Examination Exhibition’ located in Jiading Confucian Temple, and the Jiading Bamboo Carving Museum located in the historical and scenic protection area of Zhouqiao. The new building of Jiading Museum is located in the central urban area of Jiading, with a total construction area of 9,608 square meters. In terms of design style, through soft and elegant colors and combined with Jiading’s unique regional elements, it creates a simple and elegant environmental atmosphere and increases people’s sense of identity and pride in Jiading.
