Jiading Wisteria Garden

The Jiading Wisteria Garden is located on the banks of the HuanCheng River at BoLe Road, in the Jiading District on the northwest outskirts of Shanghai. It was established to commemorate the 10th anniversary of friendly relations and the 5th anniversary of the sisterhood between Jiading District and Wakayama Prefecture’s Wakayama Town in Japan. The park began construction in September 1997 and was officially opened on April 22, 2000. The park covers an area of over 10,000 square meters and features more than 100 high-quality wisteria plants with various species, large flowers, and vibrant colors such as purple, red, pink, goose yellow, and pure white. The flower clusters typically range from 80 to 140 centimeters in length, with some exceeding 150 centimeters. The garden is open all year round from 07:00 to 18:00.
