The Jiaxing Silk Museum is located in Jiaxing Silk Industry Park, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, covering an area of 1500 square meters. It is a museum with local characteristics of the Hang-Jia-Hu Basin.
The museum is positioned around the development of silk in the Hang-Jia-Hu Basin, featuring four major exhibition areas: the History Hall, Variety Square, Costume Garden, and Cultural Park, as well as the Mulberry Elegant Collection activity area. Through the display of silk artifacts and images, it outlines the development of silk in the Hang-Jia-Hu Basin, reviews the history of Jiaxing as the ‘Silk Capital,’ and showcases the charm of ‘China’s Silk Capital.’
The museum is open all year round from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00-11:00 and 13:00-16:00. The specific business status is subject to the opening conditions on the day.
