Outside the scenic gate of Qiantong Ancient Town, there stands a low earthen hill, which is no more than fifty meters high and is named after its resemblance to a reclining deer; hence, it is called Lu Mountain. The back of the deer is a natural lawn, as lush as a carpet. Many tourists climb Lu Mountain before visiting Qiantong Ancient Town to get a panoramic view of the ancient town from here.
