The Lugang Wenwu Temple is composed of the Wen Temple, Wu Temple, and Wenkai Academy. It is one of the main historical sites in Lugang. The Wen Temple and Wu Temple were built in the 17th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1812), which was the prosperous period of Lugang. The Wenkai Academy was built in the second year of Daoguang (1822) and was built to commemorate Shen Guangwen (courtesy name Wenkai), the founder of Taiwanese culture. The three buildings in the Wen Temple are adjacent to each other, with green spaces on the front, back, and sides. The environment is elegant.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 6:30 to 17:30.
