The Matteo Ricci statue is located next to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, a landmark in Macau. Crafted from bronze alloy, the statue stands at 2.2 meters tall and weighs approximately half a ton. It is dressed in the attire of a Chinese Ming Dynasty scholar, designed by local artists based on scanned images of Matteo Ricci. This statue serves as a symbol of friendship between the Chinese and Italian people and bears witness to the cultural exchange between the East and the West. It is open to the public all year round, with accessibility available at all times.
