The Meilan District Legal Culture Square is nestled by the Meishe River and adjacent to Haikou Yingcai Primary School. With the themes of ‘sunshine, leisure, and harmony’, the ‘greeting stone’ stands at the entrance at the southern end of the square, engraved with the words ‘Meilan District Incorruptible Government and Legal Culture Square’. The ‘incorruption pillar’ is engraved with various calligraphy fonts of ‘advocating integrity and respecting the law’. The ‘Lotus Pond’ uses ‘lotus’ to imply ‘incorruption’. The ‘fitness area’ refers to the square area under the banyan forest on the northwest side of the square, which is a good place for leisure and exercise where citizens can do fitness dances and play Tai Chi.
