The picturesque scene depicted in the famous Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Zhihe’s poem ‘Fisherman’s Song’ is vividly brought to life at Miaoxi Egret Valley, located at Xisa Mountain in Miaoxi Town, Wuxing District.
Miaoxi Egret Valley, situated to the south of Xisa Mountain, is named after the large flocks of egrets that inhabit the area from March to October each year.
In the spring of March, the valley is adorned with peach blossoms as bright as the morning glow; during the midsummer, the streams are alive with leaping fish and joyful shrimp; in the golden October, the mountains are covered with a layer of red leaves; and even in the depths of winter, the valley remains a sight of lush greenery.
The valley is open from 1/1 to 12/31 from 07:00 to 18:00.
