The National Water Sports Recreation Center in Lingshui, Hainan, is located in the Tufuwan area, which is adjacent to Haitang Bay in Sanya City to the west and Qingshui Bay to the east. Influenced by the curvature of the coastline and the blockage of the Red Ridge to the east, Tufuwan has become a natural sheltered harbor. Compared to other bays on the east coast of Hainan Island, Tufuwan is calm throughout the year, and it is rarely affected by typhoons, making it highly suitable for a variety of water sports activities beyond natural surfing.
Furthermore, Tufuwan is situated in the prime location of 18 degrees north latitude, where the climate is comfortable year-round, and the water temperature is mild, making it an ideal choice for water sports all year round. The center offers a variety of activities including power surfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing, motorboating, snorkeling, and sea fishing. It has already constructed multifunctional training rooms, equipment storage and maintenance areas, athlete and visitor rest areas, shower facilities, restrooms, coastal lifeguard towers, and ecological parking lots, providing comprehensive onshore facilities for the National Water Sports Recreation Center.
The surrounding supporting facilities are gradually being improved. In terms of transportation, the center is 7 kilometers away from the Tufuwan Interchange of the G98 Hainan Ring Expressway, and the newly constructed Hainan Tourism Ring Island Highway has been opened to traffic, making the surrounding transportation more convenient. In terms of accommodation, there are four star-rated hotels in operation within 6 kilometers of the center, with one super star hotel under construction, and various hotels and homestays scattered around, basically meeting the accommodation needs of tourists and athletes. For dining and shopping, the Lingshui dining, shopping, and entertainment plaza is 6 kilometers away from the center, which can satisfy the various consumption needs of tourists and athletes. The center is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:30.
