The Qingshui Patriarch Temple is a place not to be missed when coming to Sanxia. In fact, people who study Eastern religious art all come to the Qingshui Patriarch Temple for on-site research. The Qingshui Patriarch Temple is not actually very old. Its reconstruction began in 1947. Each pillar, painting, and carving method has its artistic and religious connotations. The artist used his romanticism to rebuild this temple and wanted to make it a century-old architectural art classic like European cathedrals. It is precisely because it is so cumbersome and gorgeous that the reconstruction project was not completed until Li Meishu passed away in the early 1980s. The main deity enshrined is the eminent monk Qingshui Patriarch from Anxi County, Quanzhou, Fujian. It is also known as one of the three major Patriarch Temples in the Taipei area together with the Patriarch Temple in Mengjia and the Patriarch Temple in Tamsui. It is known as the ‘Oriental Art Palace’. Opening hours: Open all year round from 05:00 to 21:30. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
