Sanya Library (Sanya library) is located near No. 101, Fenghuang Road, Sanya City (near Bailu Park). It is a comprehensive prefecture-level public library, a national second-level library, and a reading demonstration base. The predecessor of the library was the Yaxian Cultural Library established in 1958. Later, it was renamed Yaxian Cultural Library. In 1988, it was renamed Sanya Library.
Opening hours: Closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 08:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year. Among them, the intelligent library stacks are open from 8:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 (Note: Tuesday to Saturday). Newspaper and periodical reading room, reader leisure area, digital reading area, and reader self-study area are open from 8:00 to 21:00. Social science library is open from 8:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 21:00. Monday is the library’s rest day. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
Must-see tips: I. Applying for a reader’s card 1. Chinese citizens hold their second-generation ID cards and can apply for reader’s cards independently. 2. Each person can only apply for one reader’s card and it can only be used by the person himself/herself. II. Handling borrowing and returning procedures 1. Readers hold reader’s cards and handle book borrowing and returning procedures independently. 2. For bound volumes of periodicals, please go to Sanya Library to handle borrowing and returning procedures. III. Handling book renewal 1. When handling book renewal through the self-service library system, all books can be renewed at one time, and only one renewal is allowed. 2. From the day of borrowing, renewal procedures can be handled independently after 15 days, and the renewal period is 15 days. 3. When there are overdue books that have not been returned, book renewal cannot be handled. 4. When there is a late fee, prepayment must be deposited first, and renewal can be handled only after the deduction is successful.
