Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Exploration Hall

The Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Exploration Hall located on the first floor of the Huangpu District Youth Activity Center officially opened on December 27, 2006. The total exhibition area of the exhibition hall is 1100 square meters. It integrates science, art and information technology and is a new popular science exhibition and experience center. The entire exploration hall is aimed at ‘stimulating teenagers’ interest in science and technology’, ‘promoting teenagers’ exploration of scientific and technological knowledge’ and ‘cultivating teenagers’ innovative spirit’. It is divided into three exhibition halls: ‘Set Sail for Exploration’, ‘The Road of Exploration’ and ‘Pursue Dreams through Exploration’. There are a total of 58 exhibition items, about 70% of which are interactive exhibition items. Each exhibition item starts from the perspective of ‘paying attention to teenagers’ interests’ and ‘experiencing scientific methods’. It comprehensively uses current new scientific and technological achievements such as digital recognition, image capture and audio changes as exhibition means. It integrates originally dull scientific knowledge into interesting situations, so that teenagers can absorb and practice knowledge with a relaxed mood. In an environment where science and art blend, through a series of exploration activities from single to comprehensive and from simple to complex, they can experience scientific methods and gain scientific inspiration. Opening hours: Open from 12:00 to 16:00 from Monday to Friday throughout the year; open from 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. At present, the Youth Science and Technology Exploration Hall has no places for external visits and only provides lectures and training. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
