The South Asian Joyful Farmland is a large-scale family-oriented agricultural science and entertainment complex in Western Guangdong, recognized as a key construction project in Guangdong Province for the year 2020. It is a collaborative development between the South China Tropical Crop Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and the Zhanjiang Huarong Group, located at the intersection of Shugang Avenue and South Asian Avenue, with a total planned area of 1,800 acres.
The project is positioned with the overall concept of ‘preserving history, showcasing agricultural science, and ecological tourism,’ aiming to become a provincial-level tropical agricultural cultural base and a provincial-level agricultural and tourism integration innovation demonstration base in Guangdong. It integrates interactive projects such as family agriculture education, research studies for primary and secondary school students, and agricultural expansion, combining knowledge popularization with playful experiences. This allows children to learn more scientific knowledge while enjoying themselves, making it a third classroom for the comprehensive development of children and adolescents.Currently, the first phase has opened with a family amusement park, a bird park, and a pet park, among other entertainment projects, covering an area of about 400 acres. The second phase, including the Toyota Agricultural Alley, research study base, Joyful Town, and water park, is under construction and will be opened progressively within the next two years. The park is open all year round from 09:00 to 22:30.
