Located at No. 3883 Yuanjiang Road, Minhang District, the Shanghai Space Science Popularization Research and Learning Base falls under the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute. Covering an area of approximately 3000 square meters, it was established and opened to the public in 2019, designed to accommodate professional visits and science popularization activities. The base features five major space capsules presented in large graffiti containers: the 603 Base Theme Capsule, the Rocket Launch Experience Capsule, the Mars Exploration Mission Science Capsule, the Tiangong Space Station Laboratory Capsule, and the Lunar Exploration Mission Science Capsule. These capsules deeply reproduce the traditional spirit of space exploration, the spirit of the Beidou navigation system, the journey to the moon, the Chinese space station, and the family of Long March rockets. The base is open all year round from 09:00 to 15:30.
