In pursuit of scientific progress, in addition to continuously researching science, it is also crucial to promote scientific knowledge, provide an environment for learning and exploring science, arouse the public’s curiosity about science, strengthen people’s understanding and trust in science, and thereby enhance the scientific literacy of the whole people and increase international competitiveness
Since 2020, the Taiwan Science Festival has launched more than a hundred types and nearly a thousand sessions of scientific activities every year
Over the years, it has become an annual grand event that many people look forward to, attracting more than 1

All activities are oriented towards the ’17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations’, demonstrating the importance and contribution of science to achieving sustainable development, and promoting popular science education through diverse and innovative, entertaining and educational methods to stimulate the public’s interest in scientific exploration
The fifth Taiwan Science Festival takes ‘Trust in Science, Towards Sustainability’ as its theme
It is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the National Science and Technology Council, and undertaken by five major science museums
It cooperates with popular science bases, local governments, colleges and universities, enterprises and research and development units all over Taiwan to create an annual grand event that showcases Taiwan’s scientific energy
This year, it provides rich and diverse experience activities, science experiment shows, science markets and popular science drama performances, allowing the public to get close to science, experience science, like science and trust science
