Xiangshan Island, situated on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary prior to the Song Dynasty in China, is now connected to the mainland. The main body of Xiangshan Island encompasses the Wukui Mountain Range and its surrounding hills, plains, and coastal areas, covering an area of over 300 square kilometers.
