The Yunhu Tea Expo Park scenic area in Yixing is located 10 kilometers away in the hilly areas in the southwest of Yixing. It has beautiful environment and ecological features. It is adjacent to major scenic areas such as the Grand Buddha’s Ancestral Court – Tathagata Monastery, Tianmu Lake, Nanshan Bamboo Sea, Nanshan Drifting, Yushui Hot Spring, Hantian Banshan Hot Spring, Shan Juan Cave, Taiji Cave, Longchi Mountain Bicycle Park, and Yixing Bamboo Sea, all within about a 15-minute drive. The Yunhu Tea Expo Park scenic area is composed of four functional areas: ‘Yunhu sightseeing, tea garden experience, bamboo sea and pine waves, and tea culture museum’. Yunhu sightseeing: A 30-square-kilometer pure drinking water lake. You can take a sightseeing bus or a tourist bicycle and travel around the lake. Enjoy the breeze and sunshine and feel the ink-wash Yunhu up close, with ‘distant mountains, nearby waters, ancient trees, and beautiful islands’! Tea garden experience: A thousand-mu tea garden, located by the mountain and beside the lake, in layers. Immerse yourself in it, pick tea, make tea, taste tea and talk about tea. You can get away from the glitz and return to childhood. Bamboo sea and pine waves: Climb the bamboo sea ladder, listen to the gurgling of the stream, and inhale negative oxygen ions. ‘Lingxu Pavilion, Observation Deck, and Guanyin Pavilion’ are places to enjoy bamboo, listen to the waves, and overlook the beautiful scenery of Yunhu Lake. Tea culture museum: Currently the largest in China. It uses multi-dimensional technology and is divided into seven exhibition areas to demonstrate Chinese tea culture and Yixing’s history. It integrates tea art performances, pottery interaction, cultural dissemination, and academic research. There are three styles of tea houses such as the ‘British Pavilion’ and the ‘Japanese Pavilion’ for rest and tea tasting. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 16:30. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1.4 meters (inclusive) in height or under 6 years old (inclusive) are free; children between 1.4 meters (exclusive) and 1.5 meters (exclusive) in height or under 18 years old (exclusive) (with valid identity documents) are half price. Elderly: People over 70 years old (inclusive) (with valid identity documents) are free; people between 60 years old (inclusive) and 69 years old (inclusive) (with valid identity documents) are half price. Military personnel: Active-duty officers (with valid identity documents) are free. Students: Students can go to the scenic area to purchase discounted tickets.
