Zhuxi Ancient Town, also known as Wuyou Ancient Town, is located to the south of Yancheng City’s South Ring Road, where the winding Chuanchang River creates a unique peninsular feature.
The millennia-old transformation has not altered the ancient town’s framework of ‘nine streets and eighteen alleys’, with clear alley textures and a large number of well-preserved ancient buildings, including more than 50 buildings with historical value that have been officially announced.
