Xiashan Sea-Viewing Promenade is one of the top eight scenic spots in Zhanjiang. The promenade is divided into two sections: Chikang Golden Sand Bay Sea-Viewing Promenade and Xiashan Sea-Viewing Promenade. Xiashan Sea-Viewing Promenade is home to two bronze sculptures, created by our city’s renowned sculptor Chen Rijun, which depict the maritime life of Zhanjiang.

Located in Guangdong, Zhanjiang is the base of the South Sea Fleet. Xiashan Sea-Viewing Promenade is situated opposite the military harbor. The majestic warships of the South Sea Fleet, like valiant guards, add a touch of brilliance to the coastline. The promenade was completed in 1999, stretching from Haidian Road in the south to Haiyang Road in the north, with a total length of about 1.7 kilometers. Based on the current topography, it is divided into three sections: South, Middle, and North (South section 860 meters, Middle section 150 meters, North section 690 meters), covering a total area of 156 hectares. The South, Middle, and North sections collectively form an elongated shape, with the Middle section acting as a hub for the South and North wings, and the total hard-paved area reaches 100,000 square meters.
